All training meetings are on Friday's 19:30 start time at Telscombe Civic CentreThe Community Responder Team (AREST) undergo intensive training and assessment with Paramedic Training Officers from South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust, to enable them to deliver the following level of skills and care using the equipment below:-Use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED - see Defib. DEMO) , Oxygen Therapy, Resuscitation Mask and Airway Adjuncts , CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, Patient Care & Assessment , Recognition of cause and type of illness/injury , Scene safety & Incident Management Types of medical emergencies which Community Responders are trained for:-Cardiac arrest. Unconscious and collapsed patients , Chest pains (e.g. heart attacks and acute angina) Breathing difficulties (e.g. asthma, acute on-set bronchitis/emphysema), Diabetic (e.g. hypoglycaemia) , Fitting or convulsions (e.g. epilepsy) , Stroke (CVA) , Anaphylaxis (allergic reaction) , Choking patients AResT 2012 Training Dates for your diaries:-January 20th ~ Full CFR Course Review ~ Management of...
